GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT

It was some clever kid that created Halloween, I say.

Staying up late one night, when I'm sure they were supposed to be asleep, there under their character sheets they plotted their plan.

Brilliant it was too.

Get paid in sweets to play dress up.

But how they ever convinced their parents I'm sure I don't know.

"Dress up like a gorgeous fairy or super strong-superhero? Well, if you insist."

Clever kids.

I love it.

I love it so much we were planning in August what our costumes would be.

I love it so much we give it a count down by watching Harry Potter movies.

I love it so much I even let them eat their oatmeal with ghosts.

I love it so much, even if I don't exercise all week I make sure to do so today. This way I can join in the fun when we get home and dump those plastic jack-o-lanterns upside down, emptying their bowels all over the floor. I eat until I'm sick. This usually means two mini-Snickers, one mini-Almond Joy, and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup later - I refuse to waste my calories on Smarties or Lollies.

I love it so much I let the little bugs eat as much as they want because they aren't mature enough to get sick after four peices and I think they should take advantage of that while they can.

And here in all her humble scrumdidilyumptious-ness is Squishy's creation.

(Yeah, no comments necessary. I'm imagining them all in my head and that's adequate.)
