Bond, Sibling Bond

The Pixie is stubborn. She doesn't look like she is, but she is. I am her mom, you can believe me. On this day I said, "Pixie, I will not hold you. God gave you two legs. They work well. You need to use them." I put her down and began to grind wheat. You think I was grinding wheat because I am industrious. It is actually because wheat being ground is noisier than a toddler having a tantrum.

"I'll teach her" I thought. Then I looked up and saw her siblings racing down the hill. THEY had heard her cries of bereavement and were rushing to her rescue. They KNEW I had offended her sensibilities by neglect. They FELT it with their sibling power.

There is a bond there I think I might one day regret. I feel it coming...like a bad head cold.
