There's this 6 year old wave upon the sand at our house named The Pixie.
She can't sit still for anything...I get motion sickness having her near me.
So for scripture reading, which is EVERY night and it has always been EVERY night we decided to try something new.
And it worked.
The air wasn't rippling with her movement.
The couch wasn't bouncing underneath me as I tried to read.
The Pirate could actually concentrate.
And what's more, she actually paid attention.
Do you know what that means?
Has that EVER happened before?
Holy Bananas it was AWESOME.
(Thus my overuse of CAPS.)
Anyway, when we were done I gasped, "Pixie! Pixie darling, wonderful girl! I loved having you at scripture reading tonight!! You were ready to answer every single question with a really good answer! You paid attention. You were brilliant! I LOVE you in that thing!"
She smiled politely and we all looked at her with glowing smiles.
That's when she sputtered, "Uhhhhh....arrrre...youuuuuu...gonna let me get unbuckled?"
