I didn't.
I thought only sports lugged around this hefty price tag.
In fact, I was so unprepared for this financial enormity that we almost had to sell The Pixie. There were a lot of potential buyers, but in the end we sold off the 3T clothes The Pirate just grew out of. No worries though, we were borrowing them from a friend so this was no real loss for us.
And was it ever worth it?
You bet your tutu'd fanny it was.
The costumes were incredible.
The theatre was fancy.
The show was professional.
As I hung with the ballet of swans back stage (and that is the correct term by the way - as is a bank of swans but ballet seemed more apropos) I got to watch her see the production of Peter and the Wolf come to life.
I realized it was an enormous experience for The Princess.
Oh I am sorry. I must go now. Mr. Right has informed me that someone just ran over his cardboard "will work for food" sign.
I think it looks more authentic this way but he demands a remake.
As a side note, here is The Princesses church talk referencing the occasion.
