A LOVE STORY

I’m going to tell you a love story.

Once upon a time there was a Big Blue Love of My Life and her little blue roomey which the Bugs affectionately call Zip.

One March when Mr. Right’s parents were visiting I backed Zip out of our garage.

You can probably see what’s coming but at the time I did not.

I knew my In-Laws car was in my driveway and I was fully aware of how much space I had to navigate my graceful exit.

As I got into Zip and began backing up, what I did not know was that Mother In-Law had opened up her drivers door.

I backed Zip straight into it.

I was so appalled and late for my appointment that I left Mr. Right to deal with the impact.

Four months later I found myself staring at Zips rear end in a blissful state of amnesia and wondering.

In our room that evening I asked Mr. Right, with legitimate wonder:

Did you know there is a dent in Zips back bumper?

Without looking up from his big fat Truman book he slowly nodded his head.

You knew?!?

He grinned and nodded again.

Do you know how it happened?

Still without looking up he smiled and said, “Yes.”

His style of response gave me cause to reflect.

I asked, Was it me?

He nodded again and went back to his book.

And we lived ever after happily.

The End

Wasn’t that a sweet love story?
