ANOTHER PIXIE TALE

QUESTION:  How much of your life goes right over your head?

Most school days we get up, spend an hour plus working on the kids morning routine, then pile in the car for the seven minute drive to school.

Somedays we get up, immediately get dressed, quickly eat, pile in the car early and drive the 30 minutes, mostly freeway,  to The Princess's orthodontist appointment.

Then when it's over we drive back to the harbor and drop the kids off, on time, for school.

(Did you notice the use of italics?

That was my intent.)

This morning was one of the Somedays.

They got up.

They immediately got dressed.

They quickly ate (cold cereal which shows the immediacy of the situation)

They piled in the car and drove the looooong (not seven minute), mostly freeway drive to The Princess's orthodontist appointment.

When they all got out of the car, The Pixie brought her coat, her hat, her lunchbox and her homework folder.

She dropped from the car and looked around.

"WHAT?!?!?  THIS isn't the school!!!  Nobody said we were going to The Princess's orthodontist!!"
