You know that motto: Always be prepared.
I had a lapse in preparedness.
I friend involved me and my children in their submission to the local film festival which was shown to audiences at the theater.
The Princess, the principle, was professional genuine.
It was pure game to the twins.
I was in and out of the entire film. I had like one line. ONE LINE!
I reminded The Princess of her line. I told her how to face the camera. I gave her the scene background. I sucked in my stomach and suddenly I heard, “OK say your line.”
I said it.
AND THAT WAS IT!
Lame.
No character development. No time to even think about an arc as Miss Patti would suggest.
I said as instructed and then finale!
My one moment to shine and I botched it.
I was horrified and shrank down in my seat during my split second performance.
On the upside, the three consummate professionals were put in hysterical giggles to see themselves up on the silver screen.
